RACVB: Stroll On State – Stories of Resilience

GrahamSpencer was pleased to be asked by longtime client RACVB (Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau) to help create video content for an upcoming 2020 Thanksgiving Weekend WREX-TV broadcast of the community’s annual Stroll On State pre-Christmas celebration. The only trick was we had less than two weeks to make five videos. 

In past years, Stroll has attracted tens of thousands of holiday revelers to a downtown its volunteer elves transform into a Winter Wonderland. This year, though – the reveling would be happening in less crowded fashion. And the cheer would be delivered, in part, over the airwaves. 

From a story about the Stroll organization’s hard-working volunteers to a local ice cream shop’s response to the pandemic to how a Rockford family never says never when it’s time to make a lip synch movie, we hope you enjoy these videos of resilience and joy in the face of a holiday otherwise darkened by Coronavirus. Altogether, it’s also proof of how a little deadline pressure won’t stop us from diving in and doing the work we love for the community we love.
